I’m a registered play therapist-supervisor, licensed mental health counselor, school counselor & professor of counseling. I’m currently living in Midwest Small Town with spouse Will and Boys 1,2, and 3 & two cats. We all abide in an old farmhouse that demands sacrificial offerings frequently (otherwise it erupts in weird noises, smells, and fissures).
I believe Dorothy Parker was right when she said the cure for boredom is curiosity, for which there is no cure. I’m always plotting my escape from Small Town, and usually drag the dude and sometimes the boys along. When I can’t actually leave, I’m living vicariously via Netflix (pretending to be Miss Fisher or Carrie Brownstein’s roommate) reading, and probably quaffing some great red wine. With cats.
